Child of Mine

"Child of mine, how small you are

Look at your sweet and tender smile.

Let my arms protect you

and my feet be a guide for you to follow"

"Oh vile!

Vile are those broken promises,

the vapors that you spewed!

For you feet have traveled where mine cannot.

And years have broken my trust in you."

"My heart,

my heart is sore from the tears I have cried.

Acid tears that burn scars into my heart and soul."

"It was no longer than a monent,

before you left my hands empty.

I tried to toddle in your footsteps.

But why you leaped away from me.

I did not... I do not understand."

"Oh vile are those broken promises,

 the vapors that you spewed.

Yet,

Is it wrong to wish to hear you say....?"

"Again we meet my child,

my how you have grown!

Will you forgive me,

for walking where you cannot follow?

Show me again your sweet and tender smile.

Let my arms protect you.

And my feet be a guide for you."
