Chasing Fall

The days of summer closing

Opening the fall season

Putting away the short clothing

The leaves blowing away from the trees, leaving.

School begins, left off from where last year had end

As I meet new experiences, teachers and friends.

Though I remember one night,

My family was inside while my sister was outside

Sitting on the steps with cheer and a smile.

I walked out side, no shoes on

My sister had her blue ankle socks on.

She gave me a stare as I told her

"It's time to go inside."

So, my sister laughs, smiles, and flies,

flies off and start running,oh so sly.

I decided to chase her, running around in circles.

Literally in circles, as the neigbors walked by

A neigbors girl laughed while my feet cried

as the pavement tried to make my feet cry.

Her mom smiled as my sister bolted across the pavement

Rocks, dirt and grime were between the cracks of my toes.

She ran to the door and I caught her.

I told her time to come in.

She looked at me, ran off again

I chased her again, in circles again.

We bonded that night

and wish that we can do this again.
