Change

Decades of bad habits, criminal thinking and instant gratification,

Past on through each generation, ADHD had our minds racing,

habits and addictions leading us to a wasteland.

We thought it was cool to sell drugs and keep guns by our waste bands.

I’m white but somehow I grew up disliking the white man,

Raising my kids would take a whole new game plan,

Had to break generational stains that left me disgusted and full of shame.

My kids are biracial and my family thinks I messed up our name.

I think they are ignorant and sick in the brain.

Now my kids have kids and they see no color,

They see ignorance, they were never sheltered,

Starting with me, I can see the change, but the rest of the world has to do the same....
