Change

Everybody walks around filled with hate

Maybe its just all the things we cant escape

Mad at the lies yet scared of the truth

Scared of the rumors yet run away from the proof

Hurt by those who you thought would care

Walk down a hallway full of stares

Angry doesnt feel good but happy is gone

Been filled with all the im sorrys for so long

The lies people tell we forget whats real

What hurts most is emotions we no longer feel

Everythings a dream that cant be real

People open closed wounds without giving them time to heal

Our generation is lost without direction

Out here having sex without protection

The generation takes a step forward and 10 back

Not good at math but somethings wrong with that

Cant stay in the books but can measure weed

And people so afraid to talk about what they see

Clothes so short and clothes so tight

And our parents dont care enough to fight

The genereation whos hope is fading quick

People giving up and we dont notice it

How can we ignore the signs

Are we really and truly this blind

But who knows maybe it will change one day

So until then I'll just close my eyes and pray

My mom always taught me when it gets hard have faith

And hopefully one day people will do the same and we will be safe

I want to show the younger kids that theres a reason to care

And they are not alone...I will always be there

I want to shows those my age to lead and not follow the crowd

Sometimes thats not the right type of route

And I want to give hope back to those older who gave up

I want to show them all the power of ambition and love.

So maybe one day I can promote change

But for now I will sit and take notes of peoples struggles and pain
