Challenge

All my life, no hope, no success, no example.  Reach for the stars, they say. But who can reach with, arms tied to your sides.  By circumstance.  No path determined, no set road.  Dreams, are just that, dreams, not reality.  Who shows the way towards a better life?  Who takes a step without starve or strife?  Who leads the path, the road undeterred?  Not one in my life, all dreams deffered.  For who can show that life is real?  For who can lend a hand or smile?  It's me alone, alone myself.  A life worth living, a dreaming cloud.  Despite my upbringing, despite poor example.  I will lead the life, stand up and shout.  My dreams are real, my dreams deserved. No life wasted, no dream deffered.  For I can win, I can achieve.  One foot in front of the other, one step for me.  No leader, no example, no longer needed.  Won't let life leave me untreated.  There hope for me, you see.  I can belive, I can succeed.
