Celestial Embrace

Most comforting talks, when we whisper at night

You take the most broken and mend them alright

Celestial embrace in darkness that has calmed

My thundering heart simply beats softly

But when you are gone it speaks

The night takes an alternate form

Frightening me, making me blind

Mocking me as I run at full speed to my bed

Under my blankets is my only solace

My armor keeps me warm and sways me to sleep

Another day no harm done to me

Physically I am free

Mentally ill of the lingering unknowns

In the suns largest of shadows

Yet these thoughts melt into sweet nothings

Whispered while in your celestial embrace
