What truly lies in the far depths of space,
For I wonder as I gaze at the sky,
Life beyond us is what we'll come to face,
We perceive what is seen through our own eye;

The utter darkness surrounds our great Earth,
Fear of the unknown envelops us all,
In this vast plane of space, what is our worth?
Millions of galaxies, ours seems so small;

Concerned with ourselves, yet there's so much more,
Hidden beyond what we can see from here,
Could lead to danger and possibly war,
The mystery of what is far and near;

For now all we can do is watch and wait,
But none of us can predict our own fate.
