Burial and Seed, Growth and Mind

Burial-
that return to the earth
to a soil sometimes
rich and fertile
( but not always)
to soil that is almost
inviting.
This is a metaphor
for seeds and for planting
and though associated with
death
there is resurrection's holy
promise.
And what of the seed?
so like an embryo
symbol of growth
sprouting with
potential;
seed as an infant
proclaiming new life...
But though the
body is a hull
what of the mind?
the brain is only tissue
- it will decay...
Still, the mind is perpetual
through the sharing of
knowledge
- wether by teaching
or the creation of art.
And thought is undying
it is a gift to the
future-
unfurled as a flower
it is a seed or a key
to a magical portal
it is humanity's
only true strength.
