Broken Walls

To be touched and crushed by something that I least expected it from.

It came close to my heart, but killed my soul when it was done.

To say “I’d rather hurt than feel nothing at all” is not something I can quote.

With pain as unbearable as this, it’s leaving me crippled and broke.

How had it come to this? Why me of all the people in the world?

I’m innocent and young; why pick on this lonely girl?

I had built my walls for a reason, but you broke them down easily.

Not even my steel-covered heart could stop you from hurting me.
