Breezy oceans and watery skies

The ocean swirled.

Beckoning me forward.

Submerging me under.

I felt alive.

Salt water filled my lungs.

I could breathe.

The ocean taking me home.

Tumbling.

Crashing.

Shot out of the water and into the sky.

Wind battered me.

I was flying.

Flying to the sun.

Its heat scorched my skin.

I ascended into the sky.

Falling.

Thrashing.

Thrown back into the gaping mouth of the ocean.

My burns stung.

But I was alive and free and swimming and flying.

Tumbling and crashing and falling and thrashing.

Home.

I was home with the orcas and the parakeets.

Home with the sharks and the starlings.

Home with the lionfish and the magpies.

Home in the ocean and the sky.
