Break Free

Green grassy hilltops

Sparkle with dewdrops

That keep you on your toes

The oranges and reds

Both fill my head

With a warm fuzzy afterglow.

Soon the season falls away and leaves

A cool autumn breeze blows

Sun-tinted leaves in a synchronized swishing show

That you wouldn’t believe

Oh, who has laid eyes on the prettiest skies

A strawberry sunset blast?

Oh, I wish it could last

A mountainous giant with his head in the clouds

Makes you look up and gasp aloud

His snow-laden shoulders

Cover great hidden boulders

Simply breathtaking in size

His rough ridges rumble in a rockslide

And tough timber tumbles down the mountainside

Oh it’s a perfect day to be outside

Who knows to soar by

In the blink of an eye or to float up above the clouds

Or sunshine

Or stormclouds

Or windspeed

Or weather or not to fly away

It’s a beautiful day!

Take a walk on the beach and

Dig your feet in the wet sand

Watch the water rising to meet the mainland.

Who knows that place

Where icy wind blows

And turns pink the tip of your poking-out nose?

A crystalline breath escapes from your lips

How could a place without color look as gorgeous as this?

There’s so much to see

If only you’d leave

Those mind-numbing screens alone.

Do you dare to take a breath of fresh air

To go out, and see the world?
