they come from far away

leaving behind everything they know

hoping everything will be okay

some packing nothing but a photo

they speak a different tongue

communication is unreachable

many obstacles swung

Their triumphs and attempts inappreciable

they are mistreated by ignorant people

who are small minded

they yell “they are illegal!”

As only differences are seen and yet they’re blinded

some go through so much pain

and don't even bat an eyelash

meanwhile the entitled complain

while being surrounded by greed and cash

empathy is the key here

imagine being told you’re not the greatest

that the only thing you’ll amount to is construction gear

when in reality you’re the bravest
