Weakness in my soul
held down form bold moral convictions
A woman is here to be sold
Is what the merchant says to gain attention
Despair is heavy in the air I can smell the discrimination
While being the prime example of an outspoken slave behold
My children watch from the audience with anguish filled stares
I look at them with my motherly glare do not be shaken or scared
This is a dreadful moment in your lives but do not cry
Remember me as your mother who fought for her rights.
