faint raindrops reside 

atop your dark eyelashes

that house your honey brown eyes

 

it’s so easy to fall in love

when your face 

is such a beautiful example

of innocence and depth

 

when you smile and your blushed cheeks 

smile with your soft lips

i admire how 

your delicate but masculine features 

make my blood rush to my face

 

your strong arms carry such burdens

and still

you show no sign of fear 

nor weakness

but your heart so big 

and your hands so soft

 

your fingers are protecting my frail waist

my face so close to yours
