The Border

They say ‘Just Do It’

But I say Contemplate,

For fear is not bred by unwillingness;

It is simply a product of such.

Never cease to prepare yourself;

Get up early so you know who won the day.

Train like there is no rescuer coming

Or that your ship will leave the bay into gleaming waters

If you do not sense the urgency.

For time is of the essence, and that

Special moment in which you cross the border

From dread to redemption is nigh.

If that notion torments you, attack it head on.

The battle starts in the mind; make that belief wrong.

Make it so all your reservations are gone!

So, in that moment you will not stop to think

About the times you held back,

But you will be confident and poised

And know it is only fear that you lack.
