Books

Have you ever found a book

So amazing, so intense, so beautiful,

That you forgot.

You forgot the world,

All pretense of Reality,

Even yourself?

You found yourself immersed.

Smelling the smells,

Seeing everything,

Even feeling pain.

You can’t stop reading.

It’s possessed you.

You forget that it’s just a book.

And you’re just turning pages.

You forget that it will end.

And then,

It does.

And you come back.

You remember the real world.

Yourself.

But you’re stuck.

Stuck in the Universe you just left behind.

Unable to forget.

That is what is so great about reading.

The escape is real.

You can go back.

It never ends in your mind.
