Book of Life

My body is my book
My creases the lines
My scars are the action scenes
My tears are the tearjerkers
My ears ears collect the sounds of life
that run through the wires to my computer, my brain
My hair is the string that binds me together
My face is the cover the attracts my readers
My eyes absorb all the light
the light of my childhood, my adulthood,
my old age
My eyes and ears become the hands that write my story
Just read the lines of my wrinkles to see my story
Listen as my joints creak and sighs escape
my dusty lungs.
See the wear and tear as my skin
stretches and sags
They are the combination of my life
They are my book
My book is my life
And my life is not finished yet.
