Bob Ross

"Talent is a pursued interest, anything that you're willing to practice you can do."

And I'm told this, it is implied.

I have a strong mother who never questioned my ambition as a manifestation of talent.

Her daughter plays the trumpet, She's the only one with a daughter in middle school who plays the trumpet.

Here, ambition is enough for talent and I believe the rest of the world accepts this too.

Now her daughter is the best at trumpet, principle chair, she can t wait to watch her succeed.

But every big band is composed of white males, or at least the well known ones.
And first chair makes no difference when "man" means opportunity and "solo".

Perhaps pursued interest is only a talent, when you look like the man that wrote the quote.
