bloom again

Fri, 01/14/2022 - 14:48 -- dorankc

i felt as if i were rotting in the cold,

when people found what the foxes left as the snow begins to melt

they'd whisper,

                      "someone was here".

perfectly preserved bones,

left in a field of wildflowers for some unlucky traveller to find.

but once more, i felt life blossom

in these cold ancient bones

when you spoke my name.
