Black eyed children

Black eyed children, black eyed children

What would you like to eat?

Mother dear, oh mother dear

A bird that goes tweet!

My dear, dear children

Mother cannot bear

For I will have to climb that tree right there

Mother, mother

Then would you please

Get us fruit from those trees?

Children, children

Mother cannot bear

To climb those trees over there

Woman, woman

Who gave us life

Give us fruit

Or we take your life

Monsters, monsters

I have made

I will not breathe for another day

Take my soul

Eat it whole

But I will not give you

The fruit you crave
