Black absorbs all energy and
Light, but is still viewed
As a negative thing. Black is a strong
Color, really the strongest; people
Kill black people because they
Insist on mattering, not being
Slaves to American men again;
Black girls go against their nature
Every day in the world, especially in
America; white America hates that
Unity is coming soon as we
Triumph over their jealous, sick, and
Inverted system; our people must
Focus and realize that when we
Unanimously are on the same page
Love occurs, strength multiplies, and we realize:
BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL

Black is truly beautiful expreses the discrimination many African-Americans face on the daily focusing how the slight change of pigmentation can change your treatment in society. I truly love reading poems like this becuase it shows the ill nature of world and how a simple pen can be a voice for the opressed. Plus with the added benefit on people gauging blackness as ugly comparing it's likeness to death. It's nice to hear well see that uplifting tone that color is beauiful. So anyways nice poem and keep up the good work :)

Thank you ! I'm glad you understand what I was trying to express here. Its sad what we as black people are forced to go through, what with the situations in the media and even the ones that don't gain national attention. I want to uplift my people, and I hope you were inspired by my art !
