The Birds Of Life

            The Birds of Life

I dream a huge dream

One completely different from the world I live in

One where crows are rainbow colored

And sing the tunes of peace

A step away from the beasts they used to be

Tormenting those who had rights to be free

The pigeon comes to rule

Rising from the dirt, crumbs and scraps society left for them

They lived with their poverty aware of the promise

A promise for another day to fight

And they stayed righteous till the end and gaining their win

The mocking jay played it cool probably the smartest because it show did have Us fooled

Playing every side making you believe that this world was made for us

Made for you and me

That we all can be equal because he would fight for us

He played a smooth little game he was our deceiver

The true mocking jay was just a receiver

The peacock such an interesting sight to see

Creating envy among all the others wishing they had its beauty

Dancing its dance and humming its hum it was our distraction

It was that bird that kept us numb

Blinding us from reality

Trapped in all its beauty and flashy ways

Wishing it’s what you could be

Never came to realize that it all was just a lie

Never stopped to listen to what the peacock had to say

And if we did we realize that all it did was yell

So very beautiful

But all the beauty be gone when the bird made a sound

It’s shrieking scaring every one and anyone who listened

If only we’d listen

But no

We were beauty bound

Huge in size

Simply gets you shunned

Your talents thrown out the window because of your appearance

Not as beautiful as peacock but to me you’re a winner

You’re not like the others and that is not a shame

Your an ostrich my dear the biggest one in the game

The world forgets that you’re merely a consumer

Abusing you and taunting you

Hide your head in shame

Pick it up you’re the fastest one in the game

Big as you can be one day your kids will grow tall and strong

Saying you inspire me

Thanks for not listening to society because you stayed yourself

You showed me how I should be

Re-re ,dumb ,special ed, retarded, brain-dead and crazy

 Is what they say

They call me an array of names

I can’t help it that I’m this way

I was born this way it’s not who i chose to be

You don’t have to run from me

You don’t have to hide

 Best believe I cry

Because it hurts when you ignore me

I’m the dodo bird and i walk kind of crippled

The very simplicity of my disability made me an easy target

And now everyone shoots on me

What a shame what shame were some birds all playing the world's crazy game

What happened to our promise we can't just live in pain

What happened to our promise what about the bird who never came

A promise is never Brocken

Wrap you in a huge hug giving you all this love

I’m here to calm your nerves pure as snow I’m the dove

I’ve descended from down above so much hurt and shame throughout the sky’s

Lightning strikes but you my birds withstand all through the sands of time

My darlings don't fret

Chick lings just as innocent as can be

I come to bring peace, joy, and serenity

The weather isn’t always pleasant for a bird who isn’t free

Fly to me my bird and I will set you free

Follow me as I climb high into the skies

It’s no longer a dream its realty it’s what you all have hoped for

And a promise I shall always keep fly little birdies come and fly with me
