If I were a bird I'd perch on apartment windows.
listen to sweet small talk and lustful conversation.
I'd fly close to the sea for moments
to challenge my amateur wings.
By day roam the cities.
Watching the business men scurry.
Watching the women stroll.
I'd catch the writers eye.
I'd try to be that "little bird" that people always talk about.
If I were a bird I'd fulfill my curiosity.
In silence I would gain knowledge.
The sound of my wings departure would be the only noise you'd hear.
I'd be that mysterious little bird that knew all the secrets
And be what people talk about
No one would know.
