Beware the Arrow of Achilles

We are all like Achilles. Throughout history, we push our limit, exploring the stars and building cities. But alas, I fear in our immortality, we have lost our spirit. We too faced a choice from our mothers- To live a life of decency or to die in eternal glory. Our desire to succeed whisked us away under nights covers; Working endlessly towards our goals with a sight quite blurry.  And we have succeeded! Look at us now!  Innovation, healthcare, advancements all around! My friends, don't be so hasty. Take a look at what we allowand see the curse future generations must hold, forever bound. Achilles, untouched by arrow or blade, took the lives of thousands in the Trojan War. Today, war claims far too many to count the grave; The lives of innocents seized as the gates of violence are ajar. Achilles, tall and mightydesecrated the body of great Hector. Such a scene regarded so unsightly. Yet we do the same with nature, destroying without measure. The further we follow in Achilles' path, the closer we reach the end of days. Just like Troy, we will feel fire's wrath. Just like Achilles, our lethal arrow upon our heel will undoubtedly graze.
