Beowulf Boast

I stand before you   a deity,

A legend   liberating lovers borne of Eve’s kin.

A creature created solely   for sinful subservience

To reach raucous realizations   amongst the earthen roamers

And achieve altruistic acceptance   of true bliss.

In my years    I have sullied many a maiden’s virtue,

Helping her sordid values   attain her own acceptance

Through immeasurable pleasures perfectly performed under atmospheric blankets   of darkness

And through heavenly peaks   so numerous

Apollo himself   hurried the golden disc of day in his envy,
Making its rays fall upon feminine landscapes   glinting
Against the dew of valleys and mounds held so tenderly against the other  in the break of morning.
Such has been my history   and such will be my future.
I shall faithfully find a feminine beauty   to create with me
A life    in which the kin of Adam are used simply for the necessities of birth.
What an image of allure she shall be   this unfound belle with

Her body crafted   by the skilled hands of Hephaestus

And a face   tentatively touched by the true delicacies of Aphrodite.

Once found   I will place the band of eternity upon her finger

Thus bonding myself to a creature   after my own sin.
