Beneath This Skin
They all wonder why I'm bitter,
When some adults even need a sitter.
I always try to mask the pain,
My attempts for happiness...all in vain.
For no rhyme or reason, I am here on Earth.
Every day I ponder the reason for my birth.
Back in 2012, the world was supposed to end.
Now my heart, in 2014, even God can not mend.
In my solitary time, my mind plays tricks.
It makes me think of problems I know I can't fix.
I may be young in my age,
But when treated like a child, I start to rage.
To the naked eye, I'm a happy teenage girl.
But beneath this skin of mine...
Rages an inferno of pure fury, pain, confusion, and sorrow that I don't know how to get rid of.
Beneath this skin of mine is a tale aout to unfurl.
