Because I Love You: Body & Mind

Because I Love You…

I push you.

I make you write until your hands cramp and eyes burn from overuse.

I make you read until the words jumble together in your mind as you force yourself to straighten them out.

Because I Love You…

I spoil you.

I pamper you with homemade gifts and treats

until your skin glows and your smile can’t help but widen.

I let you run wild until you knock the wind out of your body

and your face flushes a deep wine red.

Because I Love You…

I let you hold my heart in your hands and I let it beat in your grasp.

I let you enter my mind until I flood myself with only thoughts of you.

Because I Love You…

I write this poem for myself, because no one can adore me

as much as I adore myself.

This poem is about:
Me
