Because I Love You

Because I love you,
I hide the stars
Behind bars.
I tell the moon to stay awake a little longer,
The sun to smile a little stronger,
The rain to cry a little harder,
And for you to be a little smarter.

Because I love you,
I watch you weep
Before you sleep
To see how much you can break down.
Oh dear, I know that you will never drown
Because you wear the leader's crown.

Because I love you,
I hold you in my warmest grip
To never let another tear drip.
You are my son,
The one that sets
To let the stars rise at night
And the moon to shine bright.
You are my son,
The one that dreams
To free the stars
from behind bars.
You are my son,
The one that tells the moon to stay
Awake a little longer,
The sun to smile a little stronger,
The rain to cry a little harder,
And for me to be a little smarter.

All because I love you...
