Because I Am A Girl

I wish I could be who I want to be,

but I'm always the wrong thing.

I long to be treated fairly,

but things are never going to change.

I'll never ge to stay out as late

Or drive the  car where I want.

I'll never be able to hang out with guys,

Or get to have a girlfriend.

Me being one of the guys could be okay,

but I'll never really get to be one.

I'll always have that double standard

because I am a girl.
