The Beauty of White

The Beauty of White

Sweet, little baby girl
From white to white to white
Safely in her mother's womb
The darling sleeps tonight

First white: the child is born
With skin as light as snow
Innocence so pure abounds
Quickly she will grow

She comes into this world clean
As peaceful as a dove
Her eyes admire beauty
Her heart can already love

The second white is the color of her dress
Upon her wedding day
The delicate bride's radiance glows
Like a bright and brilliant ray

This white continues on
Like a banner beautifully sewn
Until this happy, glowing couple
Has a baby of their own

Third white: her life is coming to an end
Her white curls flutter in the breeze
Her children grown, her husband passed on
And the heavenly light she sees

Age and wisdom have wiped her slate clean
The angel chorus sings
She passes the clouds to the pearly gates
And gains her angel wings

From birth to death
The Entrance to the Flight
We pass through shades of color
But go from white to white to white
