Beautiful Mistake

Beautiful Mistake

An acapella dances around a rhythmless phantom

The universal sounds of scuffing and clacking shoes become more audible

Drowning words that dare vacate from a defective spirit

An anomaly runs through withered veins

A heart that never learned to coexist with its own flesh and kin

A voice that couldn’t possess such a sickly sweet beauty

Fueled by its own concoction of eden

Taboo

Taboo

Taboo

Forced to drink the bottle of bitter venom

A substance that rids the spirit of an irregular beat

In turn replacing it with one that can become the soprano

Reconfiguring the synapses that connects body and spirit

Allowing the two to become uniform

Lifeless words can reach the surface of the vast ocean that once suppressed

Yet these lyrics were never meant to be sung by the phantom

These lyrics were meant to be sung by the choir

The venom has numbed it to the core

Incapable of diverging from the uniform beat

Walking to the same hypnotic sound

On the brink of losing it all to the demonic lullaby of the choir

A beautiful voice can be heard

One unlike the others in the choir

One that has no rhythm

The trance once set on the shackled phantom has dissipated

Vocalizations spew from the rebirth

The once dried rivers within are flooded by the anomaly that was forbidden

Translucent eyes seeking another pair in hopes to find it’s saviour

Pairs of eyes embrace one another as palms reach out

Searching for the same mistake

Two hearts that beat to the same song

A sound so unmistakably beautiful
