Beautiful Child

When the time comes, you will be born.

My bundle of joy, my beautiful child.

Mommy will love you unconditionally,

And never hurt you.

I have experienced things that I

will tell you about when you're old enough to hear.

But for now I will say, that

I will never do to you what was done to me.

I want you to feel comfortable

in our relationship, your own skin, and in your home.

I will always stick up for you

when you need it the most.

I will fight for you, my love.

I want you to be safe.

I will not let you  do the things your awful family did to themselves and to me.

I hope that your daddy will be there for you and

love you like your Grandpa.

I'm sure Grandpa loves you

so much like he does with me.

If there's anybody you need to count on, it me,

you grandpa,

and your great grandparents.

I just want you to know,

that you are good enough.

You should love yourself,

because I'm sure you will be amazing.

I'm writing this mess of a poem at 17 years old.

I'm not even pregnant with you,

I'm just writing this for the future.

I will write you a better poem when I do have you.

I love you, beautiful child.

This poem is about:
Me
My family
