To Be Weak

To be in love, is to be vulnerable

You have to watch your back.

It is a sad, but true fact.

His eyes will haunt you

They are so sure.

That he will have a great life.

But, will you be by his side?

To be vulnerable, is to be weak.

When I look at you,

How can I speak?

I falter away

From your every touch

I dream of you.

I dream of us.

To love you, I risk it all.

If I slip, you catch my fall.

Your touch gives me healing

Your laugh makes my day.

I know you may not stay,

I'm sure that I will be okay.

To love you, I learn to love myself.
