Be Real
Location
*snap*
An image is taken
And saved in the camera roll.
Go back and edit.
5 filters, and maybe this is the right one.
No!
No filters.
Be real.
The world is filled with false images,
Personality pretenses,
And fake friends.
Be real.
I know I don’t like me
But someone does
And if they like me the way I am
Why am I faking my looks,
For strangers I don’t care about?
Be real.
Wash away the edits,
The filters,
The lies.
Take off the makeup
Around my eyes.
Be real.
With all that stuff in my vision,
I couldn’t see
That the real me
Is beautiful,
If I just let it be.
