While others secretly scheme against the powerless
Do not participate with them; instead stand and fight for the weak
Correct the oppressor and keep him accountable
For this is what the Lord does to those who prey on His people
He cracks and wraps his searing whip around their necks
Dragging them across dust and sharp stone
He beats them with his iron rod like waves beating against rocks
No one who seeks blood will go unpunished by the Mighty King
But he who listens to these words will be wiser than a leader’s councilor
And his days will be long; he will be remembered by God
