The Battlefield

I wear my heart on my sleeve,
even though i'll get hurt.
sword in hand,
diving through the dirt,
fighting my way through,
the battlefield they call love.
But every wound is worth it,
because youre my angel from above.

Drentched in blood,
face full of fear,
my life comes to an end,
as i feel you slowly disappear.
Nothing i can do,
as i fade from your mind.
Nothing i can do,
cant turn back the time.

I can honestly say,
that each and everyday,
i lie awake at night,
and i start to say,
"why oh why are you doin this to me"
"why oh why wont you set me free"
