Autism

Most don't understand what it means to be autistic

They think it's all based on statistics

One of 68 children get diagnosed

Boys with autism are common the most

But not many look past the facts

Unless someone with autism has made a huge impact

On their life and in their hearts

People with autism are pretty smart

More than they seem

And probably smarter than you ever dreamed

I should know after all

I have two brother, one of which is very tall

Both have autism and are very different

One is sometimes very loud or incoherent

The other plays video games almost all day

The other one can even way at you and say hey

They are as different as the sun and the moon

One likes whistling a tune

The other likes dancing and being spun around

One, when in the school, is renown

They can't get along for the life of it

Together one would eventually throw a fit

Even though they are my oldest and youngest brother

I would always have to make things between them smoother

So I guess I'm kinda the peace keeper

The one that makes sure that their arguements don't get any deeper

It really isn't that hard to do

One adores me and the other does too (even if he would only admit it to a few)

Autism, to you, might be different and it may be a little strange

But think about it from my view and that might change

People with autism are special and unique

I, for one, am a definite supporter of Autism Speaks
