Parents, professors, proctors to whom apply

Speak of actions we commit, they despise

Try demonstrating the ways of life

Lies found out cut like a knife

 

Overpowering us with safety and rules

Warn us of the bad that comes with jewels

Freedom with friends is what we desire

Before adult world we acquire

 

We teenagers are trying to discover ourselves

Stress everything portrays leaves us overwhelmed

Wondering if we are making you proud

Being a disappointment is a rain cloud

 

Restrictions upon us anger the youth

False accusations, they’ll never listen to the truth

As long as they are getting paid for what it’s worth

They don’t care if we make it on this earth

 

Respect is the key for the door

To many opportunities we may implore

Sometimes when we don’t receive in return

BAM! Signs of care gone like fire to burn

 

Looking back we will appreciate things taught

Success was seriously funny for a thought

Parents and teachers we hate actions you enhance
