Authentically Sorry

Fri, 05/17/2013 - 18:40 -- Nubian

When you lie
I see though the fake façade
That you put on,
Past your charm.

Certainly sorry loses taste,
After repeated more than once.
Bitterness.

After absolutely acting,
Subtracting from the action
Of saying that you're sorry.

Though earth is your stage,
Along with the games you play,
I pray the fiction fades away.
You're authentically sorry,
Yet I say.

Now I'm stuck like Deborah Cox,
Wondering how you got here.
Next time I'll be prepared.

Aloof to love out of fear?
You got me twisted.

'Cause I refuse to stand
In the presence of a man
That can't seem to understand
The concept of positivity.

Progressively killin' me.
Possessing knowledge,
But lacking a remedy.

My patience was tested
'cause you pathetic.
In your feelings when you saw me holding hands
With your friend.
Now I'm authentically apologetic.
