Ask Crow
Skulls nestle in trees
ivories picked clean
onyx orbs ruminate
d'rangement those first refugees
as blood burned the leaves
white fear killed roots
at base of Poplar tree
throughout centuries
*
How to stir rememb'rance
post lips' lase
black eyes
lieu of soapbox dance
in hang-again current
*
must we whisper
in dark niches
at the edge of a flat earth
or do we break our trembles
into the fist of aftermath?
*
Guardian Crow
rattles and kahs
law of nature opines
after eons of time
'cause - effect'
