Artificial

Philippians 2:3

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

Artificial

What part of me, is really me?

Who am I in reality?

Am I the one who speaks the Truth

or just another fatality?

Am I at times without guile

who offends my neighbors?

Or am I the hypocrite

who hides behind forced labor?

Am I the one, who stands tall

a simple truth proclaiming?

Or the one, who crawls and hides

when trouble comes to tame me?

Am I such a part of me so that

contradictions walk hand in hand

and to separate me from self

in vagueness that cannot stand?
