A lie,

That’s where it began.

Half-truths, twisted alibi

When the shit hit the fan.


An argument,

That’s where it escalated.

Harsh words, painful comment

Leaving us deflated.


A confession,

That’s when time stopped.

Halted breath, comprehension

Sexuality bomb dropped.



That’s what I was shown.

A family that I’m in awe of

Acceptance in a world not my own.
