Are You Proud to Be in America?

Wed, 06/17/2020 - 11:07 -- keri21

Tensions are rising, this country is falling.

Are you a bystander or will you come?

Can you hear the strong voice calling?

United people keep on hauling

Painted signs; words are ignored like crumbs.

Tensions are rising, this country is falling.

The media only shows violence that is appalling,

Even when groups stand and hum.

Can you hear the strong voice calling?

Hazy gases leave people bawling;

Ares’s power overpowers the plum.

Tensions are rising, this country is falling.

Fire’s fiery veils the land where people are crawling,

Trying to survive so they can see their mum.

Can you hear the strong voice calling?

Wake up; you aren’t dreaming.

Grab a sign and join the hum.

Tensions are rising, this country is falling.

Can you hear the strong voice calling?
