Appreciate
I want to feel appreciated;
Not feeling alone and differentiated
I once had a dream of owning my own bakery.
I am hospitable and neighborly;
This is who I am.

So I once pursed being a pastry chef,
I thought that would bring me to success.
I worked hard to get into this lifestyle
And I’ve been working at a bakery for a while.
I work long, crazy hours
And my forte is making edible flowers.
Except, now, I see the hardships of a business owner,
No normal schedule, no time for friends; I am a loner.
I’m not saying I don’t enjoy what I do,
But I want to use these talents while I pursue
Becoming a teacher.

My passion is the next generation.
Culinary and teaching is where my dedication
Will be.
I will teach what I have learned
And joy is what I will earn.
“Teach a child in the way they should go”
Because the Bible tells me so.
Using the gifts that God has given me
To follow His Will, is what it will be.

Now being a pastry chef has changed my life
In knowing it would be difficult to be a mother and wife.
But teaching can change my life
By picking up books, while I set down my knife.

I want to feel appreciated.
Educate, Accelerate, Graduate, and Celebrate with children.
Appreciate.
