Appeal From the Sea

Location

Can you hear me?

All you seem to do is ignore

me and all my beseechings from the sea.

Can you not hear my plea?

I am trapped here on the shore.

Can you hear me?

Crying on arm and knee

begging for you to open the golden door.

Me and all my beseechings from the sea.

They told me to pray and see.

They told me that you would lead me to rapture.

Can you hear me?

There is nowhere for me to flee.

I don’t believe in you or

me and all my beseechings from the sea.

Whether I’m under the shade of the Judas tree

or in an inner war,

can you hear me?

Me and all my beseechings from the sea.
