Apocalypse
Location
A single tear gently slides
Off her scarlet cheeks as she cries
And salty droplets gently glide
Onto ink the scratched words smear
Her chest heaves as a collision of fears
Quickly becomes the world around her
No one here so she wanders alone
Clinging to what she has left of home
Broken, bruised, all beaten up
On the outside there may not be scratches
But on the inside, she feels the losses
On top of the heavy weight on her shoulders
Lies a broken heart to bulky to carry
But she continues her trail to miss Mary
Everything’s gone she says as she sighs
And reads the note of their final goodbye.
