Apathy

Here you are again

my faceless mask of porcelain.

You creep out from the shadows

trying to coerce me once more.

I'm trying my best to keep you at bay

your emotionless facade so appealing

to the chaos within my heart.

You are respite

from the devestation

of my very being.

Your temptations beckon

and I am almost weak enough

to take you in and let you

hide my sorrow.
