Anxious Racing Thoughts

I sometimes wish that I could evaporate

With all of my tears
And disappear
Erasing all my fears
That  keep me wide awake
Although I pray
My soul to take
My heart, it aches
burdened by the weight
Of anxious racing thoughts
of all my past mistakes
Though peace is sought
’Tis not attained
So wide awake
I will remain
