Another Sonnet

My love for you is like the wind

and you like a steadfast tree,

who feels the gentle breeze, and has not sinned,

except your lack of love for me.

My love drifts restless through the sky

and has no time for sleep

for fear that I will die,

before you feel my love so deep.

I wish my love for you

could reach your distant heart

but as I wait for you to love me too,

 the wait tears me apart.

But if time is all it takes to grow your love for me,

then I will wait forever, until eternity.
