Animal Sounds

Sometimes I need to let loose,

So I haul off and howl at the moon like a wolf,

Roar out my frustration like a lion,

Growl fiercely at my inabilities like a bear that missed the salmon it meant to catch,

Hiss like an infuriated house cat,

Squeak like a mouse,

Whimper like an injured dog,

Screech like an eagle,

Or squeal like a pig,

It releases some boiling pain from my middle,

I make all these sounds when I’m sure nobody is around,

For if they heard me I’m sure they’d be troubled,

You know sometimes I think I’m more of an animal than a human.
